In 2020 the 23rd annual GQ Men of the Year Awards was a virtual presentation. GQ brought together an amazing array of talent for an unforgettable series of videos that captured the mood of the moment and generated media coverage worldwide. In 2019, 850 guests attended the awards ceremony hosted at the Tate Modern. The evening was hosted by Michael Sheen and featured 21 award winners and musical performances from Kylie Minogue, George Ezra, and New Order.

Rather than honouring people in a distinct “awards” section of the issue, the entire MOTY issue will become a celebration of the people who dominated culture and shaped the zeitgeist of 2022.  The GQ MOTY event will be refreshed and elevated to be even more glamorous, star-studded and exclusive.
